Parts Troubleshooting Guide

Machine Will Not Power Up

  • Check on/off switch position and power source.
  • Test Different extension cord and power source.
  • Check circuit breaker, if tripped, unplug from power source and push in to reset the breaker.
  • Remove speed control panel and check for loose connections.
  • Check Conditions of motor wires and power wire, make sure no frays, cuts, or gashes.
  • Motor and/or Speed control may been to be replaced.

Circuit Breaker Trips

  • Check if wheel/wheels spin freely, if not bad motor or the wheel has been installed incorrectly.
  • Check speed control by removing the unit and inspecting wire connections and condition of circuit board with the machine unplugged.
  • Check power cord and motor wires for frays and cuts.
  • Try alternate power source and extension cord.
  • Speed control and/or motor may need to be replaced.

Surging in Speed

  • Try alternate power source and extension cord.
  • If capable check motor brushes (It is crucial to pay attention to how the brushes come out and to place them back the same way as the came out, failure to do so will result in a motor that can be damaged or not power up).
  • Speed control and/or motor may need to be replaced.

Vibration in Wheel

  • Check wheel for any damage.
  • Check motor to ensure that it is tightly secured onto mounting surface.
  • Check the wheel nut and make sure it is properly tightened.
  • Wheel may need to be balanced or replaced.
  • Motor may have bent shaft and need to be replaced.

Inconsistent Pitches

  • Check the condition of the balls you are using.
  • It is recommended that you use 1 type of ball to ensure the most consistent pitches.
  • If not using 1 type of ball make sure they are of the same wear/type.
  • Do not mix old and new balls.
  • Do not use wet/damp balls.
  • Feed the balls the same way every time to ensure consistent pitches.
  • Check the chute alignment.
  • Check power source, try a different outlet/extension cord.
  • Remove speed control and check connections.
  • Clean wheel or flexpad with 80-100 grit sandpaper on a medium speed to create a clean surface for the ball. DO NOT use cleaners/solvents.
  • Motor and/or speed control may need to be replaced.

Loose Speed Control Knob

  • Tighten set screw with a small flathead screwdriver on the side of the knob by pushing on it with your thumb and tightening it with the other hand.
  • Speed control may need to be replaced.

One Wheel is Not Spinning (Casey-CP-CP3G-M2-M3)

  • Remove speed control and check connections.
  • Check conditions of motor leads and make sure there are no frays or cuts.
  • Remove speed control and swap leads (EX: If motor #1 is not spinning, swap motor #1 with motor #2 on the circuit board. If the problem stays the same you have a bad motor. If the problem changes to the #2 motor you have a bad speed control.)
  • Motor and/or Speed control may need to be replaced.
